Never Ever Give Up book review
I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book to review! When 11 year old Jessie was diagnosed with a brain tumor she was challenged to Never Ever Give Up Jessie's Story of hope courage and compassion was a fulfilling read. I could only hope that I would be able to face such fear and turmoil that cancer can cause with such grace and selflessness. Jessie takes her family on a journey of spreading hope and smiles to others through her joy jars. To read about someone finding their purpose and passion and making it happen in the midst of struggles is truly inspiring! I recommend this book to anyone who is struggling in their current life, who is longing for direction. God truly has a plan for each of us the question is will we go for it. Will we take the "bad" in life and use it for his glory and see his blessings flow. I loved the honesty of how awful cancer is and how horrific it is to watch anyone suffer through it especially a child. Most of all I loved that a family would share their story and offer such hope to others. To honor Jesse and her dreams Joy Jars are still be handed out all over the country.
I am planning a Joy jar party at the end of September with the help of my amazing niece in honor of Childhood Cancer awareness month and the 6 yr anniversary of her diagnoses.
