Gearhart Pictures

When you know someone for years it is always such a joy to me to see them as new parents. The sense of wonder in both their kids and them warms my heart. I feel honored to have spent the evening taking some pictures for Jason and his family.

Zoo Field Trip

I had the fun adventure of joining little miss and her buddies on a class field trip to the zoo. The Zoo! Those who know me may be shocked that yes I went to the zoo. Those who don't know me as well the truth is the zoo gives me all kinds of anxiety. First off the idea of being that close to animals who could attack and kill me stresses me out. Seriously just a piece of glass separated me and a den of sleeping lions! Lions!!! Please tell me I am not the only one who is a little freaked out by this. Second I see their faces and the confined spaces they are in and how different it is from their natural habitat and it makes me sad. Really it breaks my heart. That is just to much emotion for what is supposed to be family fun :) However for this day I put that aside because I had 4 active boys to keep an eye on on top of my little miss and her friend. The boys kept me laughing and asked me to take a picture of about everything we saw. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Wish I could post a few of our awesome group but I don't know all the parents so for now its just my sweet girl and the animals of the zoo.
