Happy 4th of July Part 1

 Start the afternoon off with the trampoline and the sprinkler! Not a bad way to start the celebration. Thank you Ballanti family for a wonderful afternoon.

Summer days

 If they could do what ever they wanted all day this is what they would choose...

Mr. C loves to play on his DS or with his pokemon cards. To bad for him we put a limit on screen time so he does not get to play as much as he would like. I hope he will thank us in the future :)

 Miss C has taken off in reading and just this last week read 6 chapter books. Her current favorite reads are any American girl Doll books, Judy Moody and Rainbow magic fairies. I love that in this picture she is reading out loud to her McKenna doll. We do have to often tell her it is time to be done reading and time to play outside with brother :)

They also enjoy doing any kind of art especially with friends!

Summer learning

 This summer we are learning about the fifty states and the continents. I will post more on that project later. we also added in some art and science projects too. On this day we did an experiment with milk. You add a few drops of food coloring spaced out and nothing really happens. Then you drop a few drops of good dish soap and the magic begins. The soap reacts the the fat in the milk and it starts swirling and moving the colors all around. I t would have looked way cooler if I had more colors then just yellow, blue and green :)  We joked that it was a tribute to the Timbers.

Beach wedding

 I had the privilege and honor of spending time taking pictures at a wedding this weekend with two amazing friends and photographers. I meet the sweetest couple and wish them many many years of happiness. Here is a quick sneak peek at the first batch of pictures I was able to edit this morning.

Last Day of school

I cant believe the end of the year came so fast! What a wonderful year it was. Some bumps along the way but for the most part another great school year! I am so proud of both kids and how hard they work at school not just in the classroom learning but also at being good friends, respectful students and making good decisions. I hope this carries on through out their lives!

Miss C with her classroom student teacher this year Mrs. Onishi. Who by the way is awesome and her students in the future are going to be very lucky to have her!

Miss C and her teacher Mrs. Myers. Yes we were lucky enough to have her again as she was Colin's Kindergarten teacher as well. She rocks!

 Mr C kept telling me about this great 5th grade teacher and I had to agree when I meet him he is a pretty cool guy. Thank you Mr Lowery  for taking your time to encourage a student who was not even in your class. Your words will have a lasting effect.

Mr C, his friend Miss B and his teacher Mrs. Moran.  Thank you for your encouraging words and letting Colin help you each morning. It was the perfect way to start his school day. Hopefully I will see you at  a Timbers game again soon.

 This year for teacher gifts I picked something personal for the kids teachers but for the support staff and specialty teachers (Music, PE, etc.) I made a take home ice cream Sundae package.  I even made homemade ice cream! Thank you so much to all of you who made this another great year.
