keeping sane...
Instead of" loosing our marbles" a few weeks ago with all the rain, we found our marble run toy the kids got for christmas from Uncle Tim and Aunt Rae. They played with it all day long! They even enjoyed playing with the next morning too.

Easter Sunday
The Easter Bunny stopped by late in the night to drop off goodies of a few toys a new watch for little Mister and a new purse for little miss. After getting dressed in there new outfits we were off on in the rain to church. The kids wanted to take so much stuff with them. They couldn't wait to see "me- me" so stopping for a picture was out of the question.
After church we spent the afternoon with the Germer family and had so much fun! The kids love the time they have with Grandma and Grandpa plus the bonus of Uncle Matt, Uncle Tim and Aunt Rae is always exciting too. The also got to visit with Mr Jason, Miss Vicky and Mr. Keith this Easter. We got home just in time for bedtime. It was a very busy day but lots of laughter and adventures.

easter eggs...
On Good Friday we dyed Easter eggs with the kids. Little miss loved splashing the egg around in the dye. Little Mister worked so hard to dye his eggs and when he was putting in the star wars stickers he dropped the egg and the whole shell cracked to avoid upset we used the stickers to hold it all together. Once again the "force" holds strong.

Yesterday my sister called to tell me something she over heard meme saying to her friends. They were playing the wii and Brian's profile came up. Meme says to her friends " you can be uncle Brian he is a really good dad, he does taxes all day and then he comes home and plays with his kids and helps my aunt michelle"
We have to agree meme we think he is a really good dad too!

feeling crafty
We have been doing a few crafts around here and I thought I would share with you some of our fun. I know it is a lot of pictures but I saved my favorite project for last so I hope you can make it to the end. The first idea we found on familyfun.com they used dye from eggs rather then paint. We did it for our letter T so dying eggs that early was kind of out of the question. So we took these supplies
an afternoon of painting with help
and ended up with these tulips...
My friend Allie made some cute flowers and it reminded me of an artical I saw in Creating Keepsakes a few years back. So with some scrapbook paper and skewers and scissors we have some spring looking flowers. We made these together for "happy Spring day" (the first day of spring March 20th) .
meme came over the first day of spring break and the kids had so much fun making these foam eggs. I got them at Joann's with my coupon and have enough for next year too. I hung them up in the kids room for some easy easter decorations.
The last project to show you I have been wanting to do for a while was so much fun and reminded me of my last sewing project. I got this shirt at Goodwill for $3 and found a great tutorial on line for free at www.crafters.org ...
I got out my wonderful sewing machine which the light decided to flicker on and off the whole time. While I also had no dinning room light because that is broken but that is a whole different story
What should have taken just one afternoon took a lot longer because I forgot the rule of measure twice cut once. I put the dress on Little miss and it was too tight. So I used the neck piece and added side panels. Sound familiar? That because the same thing happened with her Halloween costume. You would think tearing out a dress once would be enough to remind me to measure twice! I also cut a small hole in the front of the dress why trimming a loose string. So I added some butterflies to the front. Thank you to my friend Jess who helped me ponder how to fix my mistakes(she made the same dress for her little one out one of her hubbies old shirts). Sorry for the awful picture but I only had a few seconds before we had to get dressed for the day.
the front of the shirt is now the back
Happy in her new dress...
Have any shirts your giving away??? I would love to make her some more for the summer.
Well I am off to do some more crafty things. Little Mister wants a rocket ship shirt, a blanket for his papa bear, we have bunny garland to make, some cute paper eggs to hang up, meme and Little miss want matching shirts for their little matching skirts, and Easter outfits to buy. Are you doing anything crafty lately? Hope you all enjoyed the sunshine!

weekend sun
I know it has been a while! I have so many pictures to share and we are still going strong on our letter of the week. I will try to get some of those pictures up soon. For now here is some pictures from the weekend. Little Miss has wanted to do lots of big girl stuff including wearing "pretties" every time we leave the house. Good thing meme came through at her party.
She has a bit of a dare devil in her...
The kids have had so much fun outside, playing golf, washing the car, chalk, digging, running around after each other, and today had a picnic outside.
Hope you enjoyed the look into our weekend.
