Someone is in the kitchen with momma....

Homemade Pasta YUM!!! I love cooking with my kids. Even dad helped out with this one. We get to laughing and they are always so proud of the work they do. I hope to do it more often this year then we have in the past. In fact as I post this we are waiting for some cookies to finish in the oven :)

We have decided to try a different type of pasta once a month.  Is there a special recipe you and your family make together?

Christmas Eve

After the morning photo shoot I met up with the family and we headed downtown Portland. I must Confess I did not have time to empty my photo card so the pictures were limited :)
Miss C brought her list so she would remember  all the things she wanted to tell Santa. Yes Mr C is wearing shorts and a tee shirt that is all he wears no days. I have been told this is common and I am hoping it is a phase that he out grows :)

This year my youngest sis Melissa joined us! We meet up with all the Germers, the Kusses and even ran into my sister in law Kathy's sister and her two adorable little ones.  I was not able to get pictures of everyone but here are a few.

That night while the kids slept aunt sissa babysat and we joined some of the family for the TCC 11:30pm candle light service. Walt and Karen were asked to light the candles this year and asked Brian and I to help. It was so beautiful to see this dark room and all these candles glowing while soft Christmas carols were sung. An indescribably moving way to end a beautiful day.

Book review

This was a quick easy read but took me a while as I could only read when my hubby was not using the ipad :)  I had no idea there was a book that went before this one and was able to follow along just fine. Sara Evans wrote a good story about hope, and God's great mercy. I enjoyed the book and would look to read another book by Sara Evans again.

 Book overview from Amazon:
Maybe in the wide-open country she can learn to breathe again.
Happily married and owner of two successful boutiques, Jade longs to begin a family with her husband, Max. But when she discovers that Max has an illegitimate son—who he wants her to help raise—Jade’s life is turned upside down.
She flees to her childhood home, a rambling Iowa farmhouse, with enough room to breathe. There— while her mother’s health grows fragile, and the tug of her first love grows stronger—Jade begins to question everything she thought she knew about family, love, and motherhood. In the wide-open landscape, Jade begins to see a future that doesn’t rest on the power of her past, but in the goodness of God's tender mercies.

Christmas Eve Photos- The Moore Family

I Love this Family! As you can see by the smiles one their faces they are so much fun to be with! It is and honor and a privilege  to know them and spend time with them. It is crazy to think just how long we have known each other I will not say the years as that would just make us feel old :)
Melney thank you for all the years we spend together in youth group, as students and Couches, thank you for loving and caring for my kids while I was working, and most of all the many hours of listening and good advice. I hope we can  get together soon and chat. You and your family are truly beautiful inside and out!
